the day was filled with everything i wanted and more! coordinated by both my maid of honor and matron of honors, the day was thoughtfully put together to bring all the things i love from the weirdest food, to having a crazy hunting adventure, to my favorite....a holi dust fight!! i enjoyed these simply yet unique festivities that took place on this very special day. i am so grateful to have wonderful and amazing women at my side. special thanks to baby ash, who has been selflessly given herself to be an amazing friend and helping the major planning and crafting. my sisters who have been continuously keeping me organized and encouraging me. ica, who has been a shoulder to lean on through it all. and lastly, it has finally come down to the very last week. i honestly feel like i need to be worrying and doing a lot more, but there's this peace in my heart that everything will be ok, and the long awaited day for christian and i to be husband and wife is just right around the corner. so all credit is to our Lord who is the greatest provider. we would not have gone this far if it weren't for his love and grace!

This past year I have felt so much all in a short amount of time.

There are times when nothing makes sense, and then times when everything

seems to be right where it should be.

The constant battle to fight the flesh is an impossible task doing it alone.

I've mourned about my past too much, and am now looking forward to

the beautiful future God has in store.

I am grateful for everyone who pushes me to be better.

I am grateful for my fiance who challenges me, and struggles with me.

I am grateful for all the trials that have made me much stronger in Christ.

I am grateful to have seen the world, in the most desolate places.

To see that, and to see the gospel richly planted in the young hearts living.

I am grateful for what God has done and is continually doing to prepare both

Christian and I hand in hand in a world called marriage.

This new year will be very different, and i want nothing more but the love

of Christ richly growing in our hearts as we struggle and love till the day we die.

it was simply a splendid day to spend with good family and friends...

This weekend was incredibly amazing. Filled with people who are beyond inspiring and one of a kind. Grateful to have Christian Cruz at my side, an amazing talent himself. Blessed by God for providing me with these opportunities to experience the joy's of photography through capturing love and marriage. Incredibly encouraged to know that our wedding day will come, and reminded of what that day is truly about... God with his love and grace bringing the both of us together to grow, learn, and love Him more and more each day for the rest of our lives. Thankful for each and every moment we have living as individuals before we tie the knot. Happy to have amazing friends and family at our side.

I'm a tad bit overwhelmed by everything going on. Trying to constantly remind myself that God is my strength and provider. God is such an amazing orchestrator, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything I have gone through to lead me to this point. Grateful for the people who have come in and out of my life to teach and grow me through the years. My family who has pushed me and challenged me. My fiance who I have watched through the years grow and change for the better. I'm excited for the new chapter that will unfold living my life with Christian Cruz as my life long partner. And at the same time my anxiety is taking over, wanting the wedding to be here already, and overwhelmed by planning, work, and school. God is teaching me a whole lot, and a whole lot of patience.

It was quite the simple celebration with close friends and family.

For me, I'm a very private person and Christian knows how much I hate attention...so for my last single birthday, I wanted a very quiet intimate day with people I love. It was simple and relaxing just chatting away the afternoon into the night. The years seem to fly a lot faster when you get older. And growing up seems to be more scarier than ever. But nonetheless exciting. So here I am, 23 and about to get married to a man I've had my eyes on even before I hit puberty. And completely grateful to God for his amazing grace.

The day he proposed.

Christian had told me that he had to do an engagement shoot that day, but would be back in time for dinner...So what Ica and I decided to do, is get dolled up for our double date with her and her lovely beau Tim later that evening! But little did I know, Christian had something up his sleeves...a proposal. As we were driving toward the Gatti's house, the lovely family I stayed with three years ago, to meet up with Christian and Tim, the whole thing went down.

Christian carefully handpicked everything and hand-crafted each detail. With the help of my sister Ruby who crafted together amazing bunting flags. He gathered everything and shipped it across the country to a place that is special to my heart. On top of that, he made sure both of our families did not miss this special day, celebrating a new chapter for Christian and I.

Everything seemed like a dream. I was in complete shock (considering the last few incidents where I assumed he was going to propose but later was disappointed), because I could not believe how thoughtfully planned this proposal was.
four months has passed since the day he proposed, but everyday I look back and think how unreal it felt. I consider myself to be extremely blessed to have a future-life-partner like Christian Cruz, who is so thoughtful in every way.

It was not too long ago I was walking away from everything. From my family, God and everything I grew up to believe. It was that same time, Christian was going through his own journey with a similar story. We both were fighting what we knew was true to only to replace it with empty things. For me, I went through a time where God and life just all seemed to not make sense anymore. I did not see eye to eye with my family. I put my energy in things that brought me further and further away from God. Everyday I felt so lost, and alone. There was a point in this journey where God shook me. I had the strongest conviction in the way I was living and that it wasn't where I want my life to head. I knew that I was pushing God away, but He never gave up on me. That was when I left California to be with my dear friend Ica in the beautiful state of Virginia to clear my head from all that mess. I would bike to this beautiful lake and just think about everything.That was where I found God again, a peace in my heart, and the deep yearning to change. God brought along Christian whom I have known since childhood. Who felt the hurts and pain I felt. Who pointed me back to Christ and became my best friend. It was there at that lake in Virginia where Christian decided to fly us out three years later and surprised me. Where Christian went down on his knees to ask me to be his wife in the most perfect way.

Cambodia!

Here is the last batch of the few photos I took in Cambodia. It simply was just an amazing experience meeting the children, the culture and the country. God truly was showing me so much of His grace working in this country. How this country has been healing for so long from the recent tragedies. How God is using amazing men, women and children to touch the lives of others while the gospel is being spread. Through this journey our team were able to build a kitchen for the orphanage in 8 days while teaching children in local schools English and sharing the gospel. I am so blessed to have experienced all of this with such an amazing team who really worked well together and enjoyed God's presence in everything we did. In the bottom of this blog I posted a video collage of everything we did, from the villages to the orphanages. To building and working hard for the Lord! To God be the glory!

Singapore seems to be so many years ago. I feel as if it flew so fast. Our group only stayed there for a few days, but the time time spent was incredible. The people we we're able to connect with from Redemption Hill Church, and the relationships built from Southlands was a good start to a long journey in Cambodia. I was so honored and priviledged to spend good quality time in Singapore exploring the culture and food. Being back home is definitely being bombarded with every day busy life. I got a new job, which is a total answered prayer. Started school, taking on a little bit more units than last semester, which is good! And wedding planning has been getting by. I feel as if I should be doing more...but I'm not the greatest planner. Christian and I have gotten the big things checked off. We just need to get working on the details...invites, decor, food, so on so forth! Lord I wont get to overwhelmed with everything. Please keep Christian and I in prayers as we continue to seek Christ in this chapter. It's so easy to get caught up in just the wedding we forget whats really important. Lord help us!

One lesson this year that is constantly in pounding in my heart is my identity, and where I find it. This year has drastically changed for both Christian and I. The whole of last year and the two years before that I was constantly working. Always finding time for everything and everyone except God. I lost myself in money, trying to chase it day in and day out. I was so wrapped up in my job, I lost my passion for community and the joy it brought to be in the body of Christ. There became no balance, and all my energy was in work. I couldn't get enough time to go to church and get involved. I was spiritually hungry for more. I felt the pressures of the world coming down on me. I felt the pressures of vanity and money constantly being drilled in my head that I eventually began thinking that way. Soon enough that became my identity. I felt empty in the end of the day. And for some funny reason, I really missed church. I missed the relationships built. The joy it brought to be serving the Lord. For the past three years I was constantly told that I need money to survive. I need money to grow my life. I need to keep myself busy to make that money. Eventually doing hair turned from a pure joy to a golden handcuff. I knew I wanted more in my life. I knew I wanted to help people, but I didn't know where to start. Through this personal journey of mine, as last year ended so did my contract. I felt those chains release and I knew it was time to move on and give this new year all to God. It was indeed a difficult decision I had to do, but I did it fully trusting in God. This year has been an incredible journey. Seeing God's goodness in the lives of people. Seeing his incredible grace working all over the world. Being able to work with Christian more and more as a team. Being able to have time to be with family and friends. Seeing God as the provider, and there is nothing I can do. With being engaged I have felt the pressures of needing a consistent job, and finding stability. I am grateful to God for such an amazing fiance who constantly reminds me where I need to find my full trust in. Where I need to find my identity in. There is nothing I can do, but to lay my life completely at the foot of the Cross and know that He is in control. Thank you Lord for bringing me where I am, desperately needing you and nothing else.

Lets start from the very beginning! I do apologize, this post will be picture happy! It was indeed a splendid time to visit Singapore before we headed to Cambodia for 11 days! Also meeting amazing folks from Redememption Hill Church in Singapore who were so kind enough to tour us around the country! Singapore is an absolutely gorgeous country filled with so many great eateries and wonderful people with so many different cultural backgrounds! I definitely enjoyed very second!

Strolling down Little India was amazing! India food is indeed one of my top 3 favorite food... and it was absolutely tasteful to try it in Singapore!

God truly has been revealing so much of His work this year. This trip in Cambodia has definitely been exhausting as well as encouraging. There is so much heartache I feel for this country with a dark past that happened not to long ago. The inability to grow as a result of the genocide has affected the country in so many ways. A lack of education to raise great leaders and the abuse of child-sex trafficking is truly overwhelming. I can hear the hearts of the people crying out for more, and I am very thankful to see first hand that God is using great men and women to go out and minister to Cambodia. It was an honor to be able to teach children the word of God, and see the joy they have to learn. There is so much more to say, and I will continue to post more of our adventures. But definitely there will always be a place in my heart for this country.

Christian and I will be off the Singapore tonight then head to Cambodia with the NEAR-EAST FAR-EAST team a part of Southlands Church in Brea. Ironically, we thought we were supposed to meet everyone this morning at 7am...but with another epic fail (this isn't the only time Christian and I have gotten our flights wrong) we came 12 hours earlier! Which really is better early than late...So now we're home double checking we have everything we need for these next three weeks. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we go out and seek the Lord through this trip. We will be helping out an orphanage and help build a kitchen, as well as be a light to everyone around. That they may see the love of Christ above all. This is all too exciting for both Christian and and I and are so honored to be doing this together for the Lord. Can't wait to see what He has in store for all of us while we're out there! Safe travels!

This season of engagement has truly been a busy time! We can't thank God enough for how good He is and how faithful he continues to be in the good and bad times. Christian and I have been on a wedding planning spree, and juggling all this traveling all at once. We we're blessed to have amazing people around us to guide us and to encourage in this season. It never felt so real than it did today trying all those dresses. Today, I took my wonderful maid of honor and brother on a last minute dress fitting too Mon Amie Bridal! At first I was super hesitant to even look into the dresses because I normally am not the "ball gown"-esque (if that makes any sense?). But after doing all these weddings this past month with my lovely fiance I was so inspired to get my own fancy dress. Lately I have been hunting for wedding dresses only through the internet via and etsy and ebay, but I really just wanted to try on the dresses for the very first time too see how I look as a bride. Today I realized that wedding dresses look completely different when its on your own body, and it is surprising at how they are really gorgeous on. There were a couple winners, but i still do want to look around and see! Christian and I made our very own blog where I will be updating more there than here about the progress of the wedding...Check it out!!

this year has been much of a busy one. school as been bombarded with projects galore, and trying to cram it all in with the traveling Christian and I will be doing this year. We just finished our road trip two weeks ago in San Francisco, with such an amazing beautiful couple Romy and Kevin. Next up, we will be leaving this thursday and fly in Virginia to visit our lovely Irene Carole of Ica Images. She is one of my dearest friends, and i'm so thrilled to see her beautiful face once again. then later in the summer Christian and I are thrilled to be apart of Southlands next missions trip to Cambodia NEAR EAST-FAR EAST. With earnest prayer, may we be able to help and serve the orphanages and churches there and be blessed by Gods goodness. The more time flies the more we see the change and growth in our relationship and how God's ever pouring grace continues to cover us. We are excited about every opportunity that God has in store for our lives this year, and i'm so thrilled to have an amazing best friend at my side who pushes me to seek Christ above all.

This past Sunday, My boyfriend and I drove out and met up with my sister and her familia to the Rose Bowl! It was our very first time to ever visit this flea market, and have been anticipating for this day to happen! I think Christian enjoyed it more than i did, and was going from vendor to vendor finding finds that i would never think of! I'm so excited for us to finally be married, and take all these amazing finds and put it in our very home :) until then!

All those little things, those big things, great things, and bad things...we go through to make
us appreciate the God that constantly is working. I've been doing much reflecting of what God has and is painting in my life. The hard times...the toughest times have been the times I truly do appreciate. It molded me and shaped the reasons as to why I do believe that now only love through the blood of Christ can fully satisfy. There are times where in my insecurity and doubt, I feel unworthy. But Lord, truly you have held me and have been faithful. There is no confidence I find but in the cross. I'm grateful to have felt the pain of losing a huge part of my heart, for the feeling in emptiness, for the feeling of doubt, and the feeling of loneliness. God shook my heart in times where I was unsure, and felt all alone. He was always there. He never left me even at my worse, when I felt like I can never come back from where I was and the things I have done. I'm grateful for blessing me with this life that i don't deserve. For changing my life so drastically. There are still times when doubt creeps in. But Lord, thank you for always assuring me of my salvation. Through everything...from running away from God, too running away from my family, too losing my heart in the world, and losing my passion in the flesh...God was there, faithful and gracious to forgive and to take me in as his child. Thank you Lord for always being by my side.

For those of you who don't know...I'm a HUGE SEAFOOD fan! Well, im a huge fan of food period. Not just any kinds of food, but all sorts, especially the weird ones! Here are some photo's i took from my time in Borocay, where we spent our dinners in their market picking fresh seafood, and custom making our own meals! It was absolutey amazing! It has the idea of Boiling Crab and Michaels Cajun Seafood, but BETTER! WAY BETTER. The seafood came with so much flavor, not over-saturated with salt, and just the right mix of the most-amazing-mouth-watering spices I have ever tasted. There are so much to choose from, and so many flavors you can blend together. Honestly for those of you who are the biggest seafood nerds as i am...this truly was my seafood heaven!

At the end of our Philippine trip...we took a stop for a two day stay in the absolutely breathtaking city of Borocay. It really was a shocker coming from Iloilo to Borocay, but it truly was a blessing to have spent the few days just relaxing and enjoying all sorts of places in the Philippines.

Boyfriend's Happy Un-birthday!!

For my previous post, I planned an evening for my boyfriend
to celebrate his 23rd birthday of living...a month later.
Because i was out of town in the Philippines, i wanted to
give my dear Christian a special celebration.

the first part of the day, i was at his door step
with a box a delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts
and a homemade invitation for our hot date!

Next stop, I prepared a few pointers that led to the backyard
of my house where the adventure began first with candle lit blueberry muffins!

Christian knows how badly I want to learn how to cook,
but im not quite the connoissuer at it yet...I attempted to create a special dinner,
with the help of my mother of course!
later that evening consisted of long talks about life and God...

"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest
to send out laborers into His harvest."

This trip was very rebuking at how little I have paid my attention at the harvest, and have been so preoccupied with the spoiled American life. There are countless days where I do not even give thought of the cross. God truly revealed how gracious and loving He is in this world, whether it be here at home, or somewhere foreign. God is working constantly. These children here are in great need. These men and women here who serve in AGMM need help. There is an ever growing ministry in AGMM, and as it continues to grow...the more God needs of us to be compassionate and help our fellow brothers and sisters. The families out there would go days without food, and are struggling to get by, yet content with what they have. I am convicted of the need in AGMM that I once never realized. To share all the blessings we have here to them who don't have that privilege. I'm am humbled at how they are so content and grateful for what they have. They don't have the convenience of the little things we take for granted. Things such as hygienic needs: towels, tooth brushes, toothpaste, toilets, showers, tissue paper, soap...Or even the abundance of food. They cherish the moments when they can have just one little taste of chocolate, or a piece of bread. The children long for the word of God, and the men and women serve selflessly so that the children may hear. AGMM is constantly in earnest prayer trusting in God's abundance and grace. I am moved too see their hunger and full trust in the Lord, and I pray I too will have hearts just like theirs. To be a light wherever I am earnestly praying and trusting. Being content where God has placed me and what God is doing. That the love Christ had for the world will grow passionately in my heart. The harvest is plentiful wherever we are, so lets make the most of it and show the love of Christ and what He did too save us.

God is so abundantly gracious. In the godlessness this world seems to strive toward,
the more faithful he becomes. The more selfish i become the more he breaks me and slaps me in my face. I am reminded how great of a King we have in Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the world. Who humbled himself to serve. This is my second week away from the Philippines but my heart still longs to be back there. I pray that my heart does not grow weary and not become dis-sensitize by all the vanity our culture brings. I'm so thankful to God for always convicting, for always challenging, and always molding. There is no greater joy than to love the Lord...really.

My heart and prayers go to those who have suffered greatly in Japan and all the rural cities that were affected by the earthquake and tsunami. God definitely allows these things too happen for many reason, and in the end His love still remains. I pray that the Lord sustains those who are in deep need and who are suffering in the midst of this sudden tragedy. That hope still remains and that people may see the need and help a brother and trust that God will provide abundantly. As for the Philippines, i miss everyone so very much. i haven't forgotten how much need there is in AGMM, and my heart still has a heavy burden to love and pray for these amazing people as well.

day 2

The first agenda of our day, we went and met up with the men and women apart of the ministry in Pilis and prayed that God will open the doors to provide a church building. My heart is that as I am here in America, as well as the rest of us here, that we wont forget the need of the people who don't have the means and convenience for a church building and we lend a helping hand.

Next stop, we took the boat and set sail for Tagubanhan. Where i met for the very first time Pastor Bart and the ministry the Lord has put in his hands.

Terry, a worker of AGMM who has the biggest genuine heart to serve the Lord.

Lastly, we stopped at Manang Lilia's island Salugdacup.
it was absolutely breathtaking every step of the way.

day 3

My parents and I woke up bright and early along with all the pastors to hike to mountains from Salugdacup to get to Punta Buri elementary school and high school to share the gospel, and bless the children with chocolates galore! The kids attempted to teach me ilongo but of course i did terribly. But i did enjoy the kids, and how they thought it was the funniest thing in the world when i tried.

I am humbled by all these heart-filled servants of AGMM. How God continues to provide sustain them daily. I am rebuked by how much i take for granted. The abundance and sufficiency we have here in america is really blinding. How it waters down my appreciation of the little things in life. How they are content with the whatever they have, yet i live my life wanting more. They are honestly models in my life, and i wish one day to have hearts just as big as theirs.

Lastly, we spent the night at the province of Capapaya's where we enjoyed to fellowship of the people who lived there, and spent our first true native Philippine experience sleeping in bamboo huts with a bucket for a bathroom!

There are no words or pictures that can express how much love God has planted in my heart for these wonderful amazing and heartfelt men, women, and children of God i met in Iloilo Philippines. I don't know where to begin and how to explain the joy it was to be there and see the very fruits of the men and women who serve to be full time servants of His love. The first day, my parents and I joined Manang Lilia with Amazing Grace Mission Ministry at Ajuy. I got to meet Pastor Charlie and his beautiful wife and children for the very first time. It truly was so encouraging to see the passion the Lord planted in Pastor Charlies heart to preach the gospel and to win souls for Christ. I was truly rebuked at how there's such a great need for this world, and yet i pay very little attention. Everyone in Ajuy and Nabitasan that I met here in these pictures were so overwhelmingly filled with the love of God. I was so encouraged of how the Lord is working through this ministry. There are still more pictures to come, and I am still jumbled with so many thoughts in my head, I can't seem to bring this out any more organized. so please bare with me. I just don't ever want to take for granted how blessed we are to have a God like we do, who loves us so much that he sent His only son to die for our sins. How constantly we are reminded, yet how rarely we think of the reality of this story. Thank you Lord for your gift, and the chance to live a life filled with your grace.

My parents and I have landed safely in the isalnds of the Philippines, after a long 16 hour flight to Manilia...and to only go on another 1 and a half flight to the Iloilo Islands. it is absolutely beautiful here. the culture is very different than what i am used to here in America. But it is a very blessed and eye opening experience i would'nt trade for the world. There's no other better way than to spend it trying the best seafood in the world right? anyway we start our missions right away tomorrow, and we'll be taking a bus towards Ahoy City. It will be non-stop work and sharing what the Lord has blessed in our lives to those in need. After tonight there wont be any communication, via phone or internet. I will update as soon as i get back with loads of pictures, blessings, trials and stories when i get back!

it was such a relaxing day, and my boyfriend was so thoughtful enough to surprise me with a homemade lunch and thoughtfully decorated his backyard. I must say, it was a good day to be reminded of the love the God that brought us together. We could not be anywhere close to where were at without the grace and love the Lord shows upon us day in and day out. For that I'm so thankful too God for everything, and for blessing me with a man who loves him and has a passion to put Him first.

You can really save a lot of money just thrift store shopping alone rather than spending most your money at department store or big brand names. we budgeted ourselves to spend only 20 bucks for both of us combined, and this is what we got!

Retro Paizley Printed Dress:$5 thrifted, salvation army.
Shoes: thrifted by sister.
On Boyfriend: $1 vintage football printed necktie, $2 buttoned up shirt, and $2 vintage vest all thrifted at savers.
$5 old levi pants, thrifted at goodwill.

Boyfriend and I were so fortunate and blessed to spend our Sunday evening hanging out with the world's finest party/wedding event, Hitched. hosted by Bash Please and Urbanic Paper, we soaked in every moment of all the gifted people we were surrounded by. I finally got to meet the amazing Max Wanger his beautiful wife Margaux, and their talented friend Ashley Meaders who makes absolutely stunning and unique hand-made treats. Meeting Megan from Forget.Me.Knot.Weddings was a fine pleasure as well. I was so thrilled to see a live performance by the magnificent AquaLillies. We got to see the lovely shop ban.do up close and personal and talked to the lovely Jen and Jamie about their prettyful creations. We caught a glimpse of Brandon Kidd's breath taking photography, 100 layer cake, Fiore Beauty, Landerette's finest bow-ties, and boogied down to The Flashdance all night long! Both Christian and I were inspired every step of the way, and ever more excited to plan for our very own wedding! But until then, we'll keep dreaming and praying...

if there's one thing i miss, i miss spending new years with my fam. but thankfully, i didn't have to tend to work on new years day, and i got to spend the whole day cooking sushi with my family. playing games all day, watching movies all day and just celebrating the first day of the new year with the ones i love. this is the first year in three years i was able to do that. boy you appreciate so much later. this year i want to be able to appreciate everything, all the little things, and praise God for all the little blessings in my life. there will be so much changes, but one thing i want to do is cherish my family a whole lot more, be involved in the family of Christ and grow more intimate relationships with the family of God, and fall more immensely in love with Christ more and more every single day.

the second half of Creinna's Christmas Adventure was to set sail on Harbor Breeze Cruises
Whale Watching Experience!! it was so cold, we had to practically cover most of our faces from the piercing breeze, but it was well worth seeing the whales swim around our ship!

The big Grey Whales were surrounging our little cruise, as we watched them quickly swim buy.
it was quite difficult to get a good quality picture of these whales, but this is the best i got!

the round imprint you see here, is called a Flute Print,
which are the same as Foot Prints, but for Whales!

it has truly been a joy to see my wonderful nieces grow and grow into beautiful little girls. one in particular is the youngest of all the Bratcher girls...Soul Valentina! time has flown since the day we first laid eyes on this beautiful creature and she is absolutely lovely i must say! here's just but a snippet of her very first birthday celebration as we all came together and snacked on some mouth watering breakfast!

this is just but a snippet...but every year for our company, we hold an annual hair show, where we compete against all the Carlton Hair Salon's there are in California. i am very proud to see the outcome and immensely inspired by all the creativity that was showcased by everyone around. it was indeed hard work, and every one of my girls did fantastic job and i had an amazing time this past sunday and seeing our creative juices at work.

one thing i realized today, that i always take for granted...is that i love my family.
im convicted at the fact that im not as grateful as i should be. they are always going to be there and im very blessed for that. yes we fight, we bicker, and we all have our disagreements, but in the end they are my family. and they know whats best. they've seen me through my worse and my best of moments, and im so thrilled to be apart of a family who never gives up on each other. but pushed each other to love the Lord and to keep growing in His grace.

i must say it was quite scary! although when you go when there's a massive amount of people the less scary it got. but i loved the fact that we got to walk through the movie sets in universal, got up close and personal to the set of Psycho, War of the worlds, and Dr. Seuss' Grinch sets. there was a little Chucky chasing people with knives. there was a huge monster that made me drop to my knees and beg for mercy! dont ask me why! it was scary!

one thing id like to share, is that i love my best friend.
i remember meeting him in the seventh grade and his spiky hair.
i remember his little bad boy phase.
i remember our first date, we both were such nervous little kids.
i remember fighting with him and not talking for literally 4 months,
even though we had every class together.
i remember not talking to him and dreading going to school.
i remember cutting his hair 5 years later and laughing the entire time.
i remember him forgetting stuff at my house purposefully just to come back.
i remember our late night talks till 3 in the morning about God and life.
i remember thinking in my head after those talks that i want to marry him.
i remember his first verbal confession of love for me, i just froze and didnt know what to say.
all is history!

this week i spent every day in Santa Monica's Vidal Sassoon through a course of Creative Cuts. every single day i was more inspired to step outside my own comfort zone and try new things and get out of routine of the everyday cuts. i rediscovered that in any classic cut creativity can come out, and we can bring out our own personality to it as long as we set our heart and mind to do it. there were so many amazing educators i learned from and i hope to take it back home at work and be able share the creativity that was poured out to me this very week. it was indeed a hardworking, motivational and inspiring week.

i spent my lovely Saturday with my dear friend Kirsten Madrid, on an adventure to South Central LA. we volunteered and teamed with Total Restoration Christian for a day of charity. Kirsten and i worked together to offer free haircuts for the community. it was a beautiful summer day, and i absolutely enjoyed spending time cutting hair and meeting lovely new friends.

2 weeks ago my dear friend ica came into town. i first blogged about the fair, which was the BEST time i ever had going to a OC fair. next off...santa monica!! it was an absolutely relaxing and fun-filled adventure just walking along the pier, and eating cotton candy, while dancing in front of strangers. i miss my dear ica, but in just a week and a half, ill be flying across the country to her very own hometown Virginia, and vacation out there to see all the little pretty things it holds!

celebrating 2 years with Creinna diorama.
i decided to craft together a home-made card just for my best friend. i gathered old book scraps, yellow pages, construction paper, and a shoe box cover and made another diorama, this time of us Cruzin' along the ocean! (get it!?) i love him so much, and i know this may not be a match to what he did for me on this very special occasion, but i hope you enjoy :)

...as for Christians plan for the day, i had no idea where we were going and what we were doing. all he gave me the night before was this checklist of things to bring. and as the time went by, before each and every thing we did, he handed me a card with hand drawn clues. it was absolutely adorable and i enjoyed every bit of it :)

its been two years since the day the Lord brought me and Christian together. it has flown so fast, i don't even know where to begin. i know i say this a million times, but i love him so much and i don't deserve a guy like him, and i am truly blessed. So for the days trip, Christian surprised me at 4am in the morning to for a spontaneous day to San Fransisco! and cruise along the golden gate bridge! it was the most amazing and sweetest thing anyone has done for me and i was really not expecting any of it. thank you christian for such a wonderful day, and a splendiful two years of learning and growing with you day by day! i love you with all my heart.

last week, a good friend of mine, irene carole, who i haven't seen in probably a year, flew all the way from Virginia and greeted us a cheerful hello! not only is she an amazing and talented photographer,she is probably one of the closest friends i have through the years growing up. she's never lived in california, nor have i ever lived in virginia, but God always manages to let our lives cross paths. she's been there for me in good and bad, whether its only in written letters that we would write back and forth, or rare phone calls, or a facebook greeting. i only really see her at the most twice a year, but whenever we do its like as if we saw eachother yesterday. and i was blessed to spend last week with her, and heres just a first sneak peak of what we did.

oh and i cant forget the delightful food,
that probably will give me a heart attack one day.

as for the chocolate covered bacon...
all i have to say that it tastes like salty chocolate!

so from a long week from busy work, and party planning, my body unfortunately is catching up and crashing. although i do want to share what a lovely saturday i had, as you might have seen from two sisters. the party was simply amazing, and the food was delightful (which was wonderfully catered by my mother herself), and well the entertainment...thats another thing. i am once again afraid of standing in front of people, let alone singing and dancing. its been way to long since highschool. and well, i had fun rehearsing with my siblings and putting together the silliest songs for my mother! hope you enjoy!

this month seems to be coming by full force with so much to do. work has been busier than ever, praise God! our family is crunching down for my mothers oh so lovely 50th birthday party! and theres so much to do i feel in so little time. then the next week...well, Christian and I will be celebrating our 2nd year anniversary! woo! two years! can you believe that!? time seems to keep on flying. im so excited to see what God has in store for us, and how He's continually growing us individually and as a couple through trials and blessings. then next off...EAST COAST! oh vacation i miss you! its been way to long since ive last seen you!

working at a salon, does have its countless monotonous days.
i need moments where i need to pause, and stop doing the same. that's what i forget sometimes about being in this field of mine, that it doesn't always have to be that way. there are so many intricate details into doing hair it never ever has to be the same. and i forget that. i just need some doses of inspiration more often then i have been letting myself. i woke up bright and early for a fun-filled busy day! first off...hair for Phil and Grace's wedding. Next off...the Regade Craft Fair out in the city of LA!

...and supported my sisters wonderful shop, CAKIES!!

as well as enjoyed other delightful crafty shops such as Nan Lawson

...and kept strolling along with my wonderful nieces, True and Brave!

even Brave enjoyed taking pictures with the camera and was a pro at it!!
